Our Q & A with Laurie
Katie Newitt introduced me to the organization. I recently moved from NY and wanted to get involved in a local organization to support the community and to network and build business.
Meeting lots of great women and connecting them with my network. Whether or not direct business flows from my membership, I have already been able to connect people in my network to create business opportunities for them and that is very important to me.
Building new friendships and connections which I hope will span both the personal and professional elements of my life.
What is your proudest moment since joining EWPBF? My firm purchased a half table for WILA and I was happy to bring four of my colleagues who were so impressed by the event.
What has been your most challenging moment since joining EWPBF? Getting to know the members some of whom have known each other for a long time but it is wonderful to see the commitment that the women have to the organization and each other. It is inspiring.
Is there anything else you’d like readers to know about why EWPBF is important to you? Being a construction lawyer, I am frequently surrounded by a lot of men, so it is nice to be in rooms filled with successful and dynamic women.
