Organization Eligibility Requirements

An applicant must satisfy all of the following eligibility requirements at the time of the application submission and throughout the term of the agency’s involvement with the Lois Kwasman Program. The organization:

1. Is recognized as tax exempt as defined by the IRS under 501(c)3 status
2. Has a local Palm Beach County address and telephone number
3. Is registered with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
4. Complies with all local, state and federal laws, including the USA Patriot Act
5. Is directed by an active, non-paid, volunteer Board of Directors
6. Has been in operation for a minimum of two years
7. Is incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the State of Florida
8. Has filed an IRS Form 990 within 6 months of the end of the last fiscal year, or has filed an extension with the IRS

Program Eligibility Requirements
The Lois Kwasman grant will accept applications for a program/project that assists girls and young women between the ages of 8 and 24 who reside in Palm Beach County, Florida. The program/project should offer services that assist girls and young women who need help to develop life skills to gain self-confidence, become resourceful and self-sufficient, and position themselves to have a successful life.
