What I Do Pranoo (she/they/we) is a proud immigrant, educator, TedX Speaker and mother dedicated to liberating educational experiences. Transitioning from a medical career, Pranoo founded early childhood programs on both coasts with a commitment to identity-driven learning. Notable projects include founding inclusive programs in Harlem, the South Bronx and co-founding Washington state's first elementary charter emphasizing decolonized, social-emotional, and project-based learning. In 2019, they established divHERse education consulting in South Florida to address the need for representation of women of Color in education leadership. Seeking community, Pranoo opened Rohi’s Readery, a social justice-driven children's bookstore committed to honoring historically marginalized communities through outreach and free programming. Recognized for excellence, they have received numerous recognitions, including 2 time NY Teacher of the Year, Gates Foundation K-12 Programs Contributor, "We're All In" Champion for Equity in Education School District Award, and Chamber of Commerce Diversity Business of the Year. Pranoo, a professor at Watson Institute x Lynn University, holds a BS in Biology and MS in Medical Sciences from the University of Florida and an MS in Education/Special Education from Touro College. She continues to champion equity, having established over 200 partnerships in the community and hosting over 400 free critical literacy focused events.
